Ian Holmes was born and raised in the north of England, has adopted Paris, France as his home but will work anywhere required if you ask.

With a background in image retouching Ian began studying photography full time at Speos Institute of Photography, Paris, France, receiving his diploma with honours in June 2008.

In January 2009 he was awarded with the prize 'Photographic Discovery 2008' by UPC / Dupon with a series of portraits taken in South Africa.

Ian is now a full time freelance photographer specialising in portrait, wedding and event photography but also finds time to work on personal projects.

When not taking pictures there's a good chance he'll be out on his bike or relaxing with a Guinness at the Sputnik bar.

Ian Holmes est né et a grandi dans le nord de l’Angleterre. Il réside maintenant à Paris et se déplace régulièrement pour son travail de photographe.

Après une carrière dans la retouche d’images, il intègre l’école parisienne Spéos Institute of Photography et reçoit son diplôme avec les honneurs du jury en Juin 2008.

En janvier 2009, il remporte le Concours UPC/Dupon découverte 2008 avec une série de portraits réalisés dans une région retirée d’Afrique du Sud.

Ian est désormais un photographe freelance spécialisé dans les portraits, les mariages et l’événementiel tout en continuant de travailler sur des projets plus personnels.

Hormis la photographie, Ian apprécie se déplacer dans Paris sur son vélo ‘fixie’ ou se relaxer au Sputnik bar avec une Guiness.
